Ryan Winningham
Pastor
With the exception of a five-year seminary program, Ryan Winningham is a lifelong Michigander. Born in Rochester, Michigan, he grew up northeast of Detroit, where his father was a pastor. Impacted by mission trips, youth leaders, and parents, God led him to consider pastoral ministry.
He attended Concordia University, Ann Arbor, for 2 years where he played soccer and studied music, and then to Hope College where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Music in 2004. After graduation, he and Amie Senyk were married, and moved to St. Louis for him to attend Concordia Seminary while Amie taught Elementary Music. While in seminary he studied abroad at Westfield House, a Lutheran seminary affiliated with Cambridge University, England.
Upon seminary graduate in 2009, God led both Ryan and Amie back to Holland and back to Zion Lutheran Church where they had been involved as students at Hope College. They enjoy traveling, being outside, and spending time together, especially time with their 3 young children, Samuel, Benjamin, and Charissa.
